Welcome To Posi-Town

Mr Negitivo lives in Posi-Town, short for Positive Town. You might wonder why someone who, on the face of it is negative given his surname, lives in a place called Positive.

Yet, Posi-Town is officially the worst town in the world! According to the ratings, anyway…

Mr Negitivo shares his little town with 999 others, the Positivos, from whom the town gets its name. They all love living there. They think everything is perfect! They think it is all delightful.

Mr Negitivo tells everyone his truth.

‘The cafe on Main Street has to serve the worst soup I’ve ever tasted! Yuck! There also is never a table available,’ he reviewed once. ‘One star.’

‘The hotel on Kings Lane has to have the most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever seen, and the reception staff won’t stop talking. Two stars.’

Often, he doesn’t even need to write any words, he can just rate something.

The park, one star. The zoo, one star. That book that he read because he got it free, three stars.

Mr Negitivo can’t help himself… he has to let everyone know the truth.

And what about the Touristos, the masses from outside looking into perhaps one day visiting Posi-Town? They stay away. I mean, who wants to visit a one-star cafe with the worse soup and no seating? Who wants to stay at a hotel where you can’t sleep and you can’t shut up the reception staff? And as for other things to do, who wants to go to such a terrible park, a terrible zoo, or read only a three star book? Life’s too short.

So they find somewhere else.

Yet, if you turned up to Posi-Town, and asked any of the 999 other residents, you would suddenly get a vividly different picture.

‘We love the zoo. It has the best enclosures and the most looked after animals in the world. The restaurant there is super cute, there aren’t lots of crowds. We love it!’

‘The park is just perfect on a sunny day, for walking, sunbathing or sitting on a bench watching the people go by.’

‘The cafe on Main Street is simple the best! Daily soups that are to die-for, friendly staff, and it’s so popular you might have to book ahead or wait for a bit for a table, but the wait is certainly worth it!’

‘We love the hotel, and the staff are so helpful when answering our questions, going above and beyond with providing us with relevant information that made our stay all the more special.’

And as for that book, all 999 people, without exception, loved it! They are reading more from this author.

In fact, the main difference between the 999 Positivos and Mr Negitivo, is that Mr Negitivo rates and reviews literally everything there is to review – and he prides himself on his ability to find fault. In fact, nothings ever been perfect. Far from it. He’s never given a rating above three stars, and as we all know, anything between 1 and 3 stars is a negative review.

The 999 Positivos, so caught up in their enjoyment, never get around to reviewing, anything. Ever. They are too focused on the next great thing that Posi-Town has to offer, and it has a lot to offer. In fact, it might just be the most amazing place on the planet – that nobody will ever hear about.

Don’t be like Mr Negitivo… mind you, don’t be like the Positivos either.

Reviews and ratings matter too!
